The second phase of the program “TAXILA ABISES” designed by the PPA to formally welcome & motivate achievement of targets in Life of the fresh students enrolling in Year 6 of the College with excellent achievements in Scholarship Examination, was organized by the PPA and held in collaboration with the College administration at the college main hall on 27^th June 2022.

A charm gathering consisting of the new comers, parents, College administration and committee members of the PPA were present at this occasion.

A fertile lecture illustrating the history of the College, the Past Pupils Association and some of the excellent and remarkable personalities produced by the College to society, was conducted by the President of the PPA, while the concept and program “TAXILA ABISES” was greatly admired by the college Principal (Mrs.) K K P M Jayathilaka during her address.   

Award winning first Sri Lankan to board certify as a Consultant in Pediatric Respiratory Medicine and a committee member of the PPA, Dr. Ganganath Gunathilaka delivered a fertile address based on his life accomplishments creating inspire among the audience and leading to motivate the fresh students.

All incoming students were granted new Savings Accounts at National Savings Bank – Horana Branch while Pass Books were issued to each and every student by crediting a nominal sum donated by the PPA while the National Savings Bank donated an equal sum to each and every account in view to promote the practice of saving among students. Coordination of this event was performed by Mr. Hemasri, a staff member of National Savings Bank and a committee member of the PPA.
