Tha Stam Collectors’ Society of Taxila Central College Marked a unique milestone in school’s history by establishing Sri Lanka’s first ever “School Stamp information Center” on the 22nd September 2022 at college main library

this was initiated by the secretary of the society, student Gayashan Mandari with the guidance of the teacher-in-charge Mr. Viranga Pattiarachchi, under the patronage of the Principal Mrs. K.K.P.M. Jayathilake. Taxila Past Pupils’ Association provided valuable support for this process. Founder of the Reading Stams Group – Mr.Niroshana Peiris, Chairpersion of the Past Taxila Scouts Association – Mr.Deepathi Hathurusinghe, Vice President of the Extra-curricular Societies Develoopment Unit of PPA Mr. Gayan Priyadarshana and its Assistant Secreatary Mr.Lasika Edissuriya were among the participants of the event along with Principal, Assistant Principals and the Current members of the Stamp Collectors’s Society.

Handover of books & documents required to form the Stamp Information Centre by Mr. Niroshana Peiris and the donations of books by Mr. Deepthi Hathurusinghe to the society were among the key highlights of the proceedings. Mr.Niroshana delivered the keynote of the event.
